:: Welcome to Jimgregg.com

Jim Gregg graduated with an Associate in Applied Science in Photography from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2003. This was to fulfill a lifelong dream of expanding his photographic skills.

:: Mission Statement

While attending an ASMP Career Building Conference at Lake Dillon, Colorado, Jim was impressed with a charge from God "To produce exceptional documentaries of missionaries and their work". Jim was given a chance to start fulfilling that vision when he went to Manyatta, Kenya, in April 2005 with Terry Bruns to visit a small church and some members who cared for 47 orphans. Over 3-1/2 hours of video and 800 photographs were taken. These have been distilled into a 30-minute video. To view clips from this video, please follow the Africa and then Video links.

:: Why I Take Photographs

God has given me a vision: "To produce exceptional documentaries of missionaires and their work". One day a friend of mine mentioned that he was going to Kenya, Africa, to visit his small church there; I said great, have a nice trip. Two days later while riding the RTD Light Rail, God opened my eyes with the charge to go with my friend. This was a chance to do what He had commanded me to do. So, I went to Manyatta with the sole purpose of documenting what I saw and experienced there. I shot over 3 1/2 hours of MiniDV video and took almost 800 still photographs. I edited all of this into a 30 minute DVD.

My photography is a way of earning enough income to enable me to experience this calling from God and my dream is to continue visiting places like Kenya, Africa, to make my documentaries to help the less fortunate people in those areas.
